Marketing & Community Manager
Location: Berlin, Germany (Hybrid)
Hours: 32 hours/week during probation, increasing to 40 hours/week upon successful completion.
About the Role
As a Marketing & Community Manager, you will be at the forefront of our communication and community engagement efforts, helping to build and grow our presence globally. This role requires autonomy, creativity, and a passion for games that spark meaningful conversations. The role starts at 32 hours per week during a 6-month probation period, increasing to 40 hours per week after successful completion.

Essential Qualifications 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, community management, or equivalent.
Proficiency with social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, Reddit, Steam, Bluesky, TikTok).
Intermediate skills in image and video editing (e.g., Photoshop, Krita, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere).
Proficiency in English (minimum C1 level).
Experience with PR tasks, including preparing and distributing press releases. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Love for indie and thought-provoking games, politics, and history.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in marketing or community roles.
Copywriting and blogging experience.
Experience with Steam, Play Store, App Store, PlayStation, XBOX, and Nintendo Switch backends.
Community moderation experience (e.g., Discord, Reddit).
Knowledge of German.
Familiarity with analytics tools and game-specific data analysis.
Strong interest in narrative-driven, story-rich, and roleplaying games.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and grow all Torpor Games social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, TikTok, etc.).
Create and distribute the monthly developer broadcast newsletter via Squarespace, Steam, and social channels.
Prepare and execute PR activities, including press release preparation and distribution.
Manage a Merch Store with a growing product portfolio.
Collaborate with marketing partners or other organizations to execute marketing campaigns.
Represent Torpor Games at events, festivals, and awards.
Create high-quality marketing assets, including banners, screenshots, animations, and short videos.

Compensation
Hourly Rate: €17–€25, based on skills and experience.
