The Suzerain re-launch introduces the Political Influence Levels and Story Points, for freemium players to unlock content faster. The Political Influence Levels is a system where you can earn XP to grant higher Story Point rewards, as players level up. Players earn XP by completing daily rewards and unlocking achievements.

Additionally, the re-launch introduces a mobile account system, that ties players' accounts to store currency, achievements, and mobile-related player progression including save game upload and cloud sync.

What if I already own Suzerain on mobile?

If you've already purchased Suzerain on mobile, it will automatically appear as the "Sordland Story Pack" that you own.

Save files will not transfer from the existing mobile game to the new update. If you are in the middle of playing the Sordland story, we'd recommend finishing your playthrough before the update launches, as you will lose that progress.

For existing mobile purchases, you will not receive new purchase bonuses such as additional story points, as these can only be provided to purchases after the update.

Why are you re-launching Suzerain on mobile?

Those of you who have played Suzerain on mobile will know that the content there is outdated. In order to bring the Kingdom of Rizia and updated mobile content, we needed to re-work the entire app so that both mobile and PC could have the same content from now on.

How much will the game cost on mobile?

There are different ways to play Suzerain on mobile, including playing the whole game for free. If you'd like to purchase the game, the cost of the story packs are as follows:

Yes, there is regional pricing for each currency. Please check the Suzerain app for the price in your currency. The base price for the game is set in Euros, as we are a German-based company.

Why is the Kingdom of Rizia more expensive on mobile than on PC?

The updated price of the Kingdom of Rizia reflects the new content coming to the story soon - stay tuned for more info in Q1 2025 - and the hard work the team have done to bring the content to mobile. Suzerain will have custom, dynamic pricing discounts on mobile, so there'll be plenty of opportunities to purchase Rizia for a discounted price.

Do I get anything cool on mobile if I already own the game on PC?

Yes! For a very limited time, you can get 50 Story Points and 5,000 XP for mobile just by owning the game on PC. You'll be able to find the code in-game, in the news section of Suzerain. The code will only work for the first 24 hours after the mobile launch, so don't miss out on the bonus! 

What are Story Points?

Story Points are a currency in Suzerain on mobile, allowing you to play through the story uninterrupted by ads. The more you have, the more you can play without watching ads.

What does XP do?

XP points are tied to your "Political Influence Level." This is a system where you earn XP to grant higher Story Point rewards as you level up. You can earn XP by completing daily rewards and unlocking achievements.

How does the cloud save work?

On mobile, you'll now be able to create a Torpor Account that will allow for cloud saving your Suzerain progress on mobile, and your active save file will auto sync.

There is no cross-platform cloud saving. Your progress in Suzerain on mobile will remain on mobile, and there is no way to pick up where you left on PC.

Is there offline play?

Yes, you can play offline regardless of whether you've purchased a story pack or are playing with ads.

What if I have an older phone, can I still play the update?

Devices that have below 3gb ram and are older than 2019 will be mostly incompatible with technical requirements to play the update, therefore we recommend not to update the app to continue accessing Suzerain as it is now.

The Kingdom of Rizia DLC is now available This DLC marks the beginning of an ambitious expansion plan for the Suzerain universe, already embraced by an impressive global community of 700,000 players.

As of today, the Kingdom of Rizia DLC can be purchased directly on Steam and other platforms. Priced at $9.99, the DLC is available with a 10 percent launch discount until the 1st of April. Moreover, we are introducing two new bundles for a deeper experience:

  • Supporter Edition: A package featuring the original Suzerain game and The Kingdom of Rizia including the soundtracks of Suzerain and Kingdom of Rizia and the Vulpitzer.

The Suzerain 2.0 "Amendment" update is the culmination of a year-long endeavor by the Torpor Games team to refine and expand upon the original game and is the first release in a long-term plan for expanding and supporting the game, including more free updates and a series of premium DLC campaigns, the first of which - Suzerain: Kingdom of Rizia - will launch in Q4 this year. The update also marks the start of a new arrangement with the game's publisher, Fellow Traveller, with Torpor Games taking up co-publishing duties, expanding its experience and growing its skills and capabilities.

The update will debut with a limited-time discount of 70 percent off the game's current price of $14.99, which will run until the 13th of August. On the 14th of August, the game's price will increase to $19.99 to reflect the added value and enhancements in this update and support the continued development of further free updates. This makes the initial release period optimal for players to purchase and secure their copy at the most favorable price point!

STEP INTO THE SHOES OF A KING IN THE FIRST EXPANSION FOR POLITICAL RPG SUZERAIN

Premium DLC expansion, Suzerain: Kingdom of Rizia, revealed by Torpor Games, alongside a major free update for the base game

Berlin, May 4th, - developer Torpor Games and indie label Fellow Traveller have today revealed a major premium DLC expansion for the critically acclaimed, political RPG, Suzerain, as well as announced a huge free update for the base game. The 2.0 "Amendment" update will be available on PC starting in the summer of 2023, with the premium DLC following later this year. The DLC and update are the first releases in a long-term plan by the Berlin-based indie studio to expand the universe of Suzerain, which now boasts a massive player base of 500,000 individuals worldwide.

Suzerain is a political RPG originally released on PC in 2020, with a Nintendo Switch version added in 2021 and iOS/Android releases in 2022. The game puts the player in the shoes of Anton Rayne, the newly elected President of the fictional country of Sordland in an alternate version of the 1950s. It has received praise for its deep and nuanced exploration of politics through a human lens that focuses on people and power.

In the Kingdom of Rizia premium DLC, players will explore the geopolitical and internal challenges of King Romus Toras in Rizia, four years before the main game's events. Players will navigate a complex web of political and personal relationships with the royal houses, councilors, country leaders, and others. The DLC offers a fresh narrative perspective of a monarch and expands the Suzerain universe's lore and world map.

The 2.0 "Amendment" update offers a complete overhaul of Suzerain, with new dialogues, choices, consequences, improved visuals, UI, world map integration, and interactions. It caters to both new and experienced players, enhancing every aspect of the game with audiovisual improvements, bug fixes, writing enhancements, and more.

Both the Kingdom of Rizia DLC and 2.0 "Amendment" Update will be available on PC only initially, with Torpor Games hoping to bring them to Switch and iOS/Android at a later date.

Suzerain is currently priced at US$ 14.99, but will receive a price increase to US$ 19.99 shortly after the release of the 2.0 "Amendment" update to reflect the increased value provided through the update and to support the ongoing development of further free updates and premium expansions. The game is currently on a 70% discount on Steam until May 11th for the LudoNarraCon festival and will be discounted again during the summer sales and when the 2.0 update launches, giving players multiple chances to grab it at a cheap price before the increase.

The Kingdom of Rizia premium DLC takes players on a new journey, four years before the events of the main game, to explore the unique geopolitical and internal challenges faced by King Romus Toras of Rizia. In this premium extension of Suzerain, players will encounter new challenges, meet with new characters, and shape the future of the Kingdom. The DLC marks a new chapter in the Suzerain Universe and promises a unique and captivating experience with a fresh narrative perspective of a Monarch.
