Berlin, March 25th - Developer Torpor Games and indie label Fellow Traveller proudly declare the eagerly awaited premium DLC launch for the widely celebrated political RPG, Suzerain. The Kingdom of Rizia DLC is now available This DLC marks the beginning of an ambitious expansion plan for the Suzerain universe, already embraced by an impressive global community of 700,000 players.

As of today, the Kingdom of Rizia DLC can be purchased directly on Steam and other platforms. Priced at $9.99, the DLC is available with a 10 percent launch discount until the 1st of April. Moreover, we are introducing two new bundles for a deeper experience:

  • Supporter Edition: A package featuring the original Suzerain game and The Kingdom of Rizia including the soundtracks of Suzerain and Kingdom of Rizia and the Vulpitzer.

  • Expanded Edition: A focused offering that pairs the core Suzerain game with The Kingdom of Rizia DLC, providing a seamless entry into the expanded universe.

Launched in 2020 for PC, and later for Nintendo Switch in 2021, and mobile platforms in 2022, Suzerain allows players to navigate the complex political landscape of Sordland in the 1950s as its President, Anton Rayne. The game is celebrated for its deep and thoughtful exploration of power and governance, focusing on the personal stories behind political decisions.

The Kingdom of Rizia expansion provides a glimpse into the events leading up to the main game, centering on King Romus Toras of Rizia as he deals with political, diplomatic, and personal dilemmas. Set four years before the events of Suzerain, this DLC enriches the game's world and offers an in-depth look at the challenges of monarchy, adding new layers to the narrative and setting.

Now available on Steam, Humble, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store for $9.99, the Suzerain Rizia DLC expands the Suzerain narrative. Plans are underway to bring it to Switch and mobile platforms. A special bundle, including the DLC and original soundtrack, is also available. The base game is discounted by 75% for newcomers, making it an ideal time to join. The update will debut with a limited-time discount of 70 percent off the game's current price of $14.99, which will run until the 13th of August. On the 14th of August, the game's price will increase to $19.99 to reflect the added value and enhancements in this update and support the continued development of further free updates. Berlin, May 4th, - developer Torpor Games and indie label Fellow Traveller have today revealed a major premium DLC expansion for the critically acclaimed, political RPG, Suzerain, as well as announced a huge free update for the base game. The 2.0 "Amendment" update will be available on PC starting in the summer of 2023, with the premium DLC following later this year. The DLC and update are the first releases in a long-term plan by the Berlin-based indie studio to expand the universe of Suzerain, which now boasts a massive player base of 500,000 individuals worldwide.

The 2.0 "Amendment" update offers a complete overhaul of Suzerain, with new dialogues, choices, consequences, improved visuals, UI, world map integration, and interactions. Both the Kingdom of Rizia DLC and 2.0 "Amendment" Update will be available on PC only initially, with Torpor Games hoping to bring them to Switch and iOS/Android at a later date.

Suzerain is currently priced at US$ 14.99, but will receive a price increase to US$ 19.99 shortly after the release of the 2.0 "Amendment" update to reflect the increased value provided through the update and to support the ongoing development of further free updates and premium expansions. The game is currently on a 70% discount on Steam until May 11th for the LudoNarraCon festival and will be discounted again during the summer sales and when the 2.0 update launches, giving players multiple chances to grab it at a cheap price before the increase.

Torpor Games is working on a prequel called, The Conformist, a narrative roleplaying game set in the 1930s in which the player guides Orwin - a propagandist working for the government of Sordland - in an attempt to discover his path in the capital.

Based on the Suzerain universe, players step into the city of Holsord, discovering the country of Sordland and its people caught in the turbulence of a newly established military government under President Tarquin Soll. Players must juggle their propagandist obligations to their superiors, their ambitions, and their families whilst avoiding the scrutiny of the state – or aiding the resistance against them.

The game includes specific distinctive features for mobile including:

  • Full rework of the rendering from 3D to 2D for smooth performance and less drain on battery

  • Total adaptation of user interface and experience for smartphones and tablets

  • UI animations and high-resolution sprites tailored for mobile

The Prologue and First Turn (around 1 hour of playtime) are available for free, while the full game in-app purchase costs between 3.99 - 4.99 USD, depending on region and platform. The game is available in the English language.
